About Us
Welcome to the American Red Cross, Carolina Lowcountry Chapter.
The American Red Cross has been providing assistance to those in need in Berkeley, Dorchester, Colleton and Charleston Counties for over 100 years. Your generous donations of time, money and blood make these services possible. Thank you for your support!
In fiscal year 2010 the Carolina Lowcountry Chapter has assisted 1,097 individuals affected by disasters such as home fires, assisted 2,899 military cases, reached out to 5,683 military family members, and trained 19,650 people in lifesaving skills such as CPR and first aid. Red Cross volunteers are the core of the Red Cross, donating their time and energy to selflessly serve those in need; demonstrating the compassion and generosity for which Americans are known.
In December, 2008, the regional Carolina Lowcountry Chapter assumed administrative and management responsibilities for the Palmetto Service Center. This restructuring ensures the American Red Cross can maintain the level of service achieved over 92 years of assisting the residents of Beaufort, Hampton and Jasper Counties in times of need.
The Carolina Lowcountry Chapter serves Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Hampton and Jasper Counties.
