"Step 1"
To start the Volunteer Process at the Carolina Lowcountry Chapter of the American Red Cross all new volunteers must do the following:
- Attend a new Volunteer Orientation/Fulfilling our Mission Class-3 1/2 hour time comittment. Volunteer Orientation is your basic introduction to the American Red Cross and it is the time period when you fill out all your required paperwork. Fulfilling our Mission-introduces potential disaster volunteers to the role of the Red Cross in the community actions in preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies and disasters.
- Submit to a Red Cross background check.
Unless otherwise specified the classes take place at our chapter headquarters at 8085 Rivers Ave. Suite F, North Charleston, SC
